80+ Silver PSU?

I am just curious. Why are there so few 80+ silver power supplies?  And it's expense than 80+ Gold.

Because the standard was abandoned in favor of using either Gold or Bronze, by and large. The EVGA B2 is a good example of a PSU that would be 80 PLUS Silver if it were used these days.

Ah, I see.  What if  80 PLUS white move to  Bronze, then  Bronze is new standard 80 PLUS Silver? Make sense? No?

Not how it works. Something that would achieve 80 PLUS Silver will just be rounded up or down, nothing else.
