Ok so i've had this problem before but not to this extent.I know it's not the cpu or gpu overheating because the temps are normal. But ever since i got my new gpu the problem has gotten more frequent. It restarts every time i enter a game or a demanding program. It has never done i this often. It my be the psu but i'm not sure what to do.

I guess nothing is overclocked - sounds like PSU to me. What Specs are you running? Details for Mobo / GPU / CPU / PSU / Disks / Peripherals that run of the PSU. Would alle be helpful to get a hold of this issue.

I  have a micro ATX gigabyte,500 w nexus PSU,i5 4460 3,2 ghz,2 hdds and a rx 470 g1 gaming nothing else

I'm guessing it's your PSU, it sounds pretty dodgy. Also, the only one I could find of yours when I googled it had been discontinued. Would you mind linking where you bought your PSU from and telling me how much it cost? If it's sub 50 then there's a good chance it's your PSU.

yep that PSU looks shady to me too, might be that's the little devil going on. 500W sound more than enough to run your setup, could of course be many other things going wrong, PSU is on top of that list though. Maybe you can borrow one from another system and test?

That could still be PSU. You stressed it over its capabilities and now it just can't go there. Its like when you break finger. When it has healed, it works normally until you try to bend it fully. Try with another PSU, if possible. If it works without issues, then its PSU. I would guess RAM as second option if it has issues with another PSU.
