Grado headphones

The SR60 is fine for the money. They have that distinctive Grado house sound, so lots of treble, distortion across he board, but it can be a fun sound for some genres.

I think the sr80 is better, the sr60 just has no bass. I liked the sr80 better

The GRADO SR60i were my favorite headphones for almost a year until I got the Sony MDR 1R.

There is something special about the Grado sound. Everything sounds so crisp and warm, but it's really just an illusion given by the boosted upper mids and treble. And yet, there isn't much sibilance to complain about. But these headphones will make you deaf. They're very fatiguing on your ears. Switching to the MDR 1R was night and day. The 1R isn't as fun, but it is a lot smoother.

No I want to go back to Grados, but I'll have to buy a new pair and they're pricey.
