First Time Gaming PC

Ok so I edited my initial build and after Cyber Monday sales I imagine I can get this to cost ~$600. Any thoughts/advice? (I already have a Corsair 100R case, a 1TB hard drive, and a DVD Drive)  https://pcpartpicker.com/list/3csrYr

Looks pretty good, although I would go for a single 8gb stick so you can add another 8gb later for 16gb.

I do like the list that aSpoink created here but you do have to keep in mind that if you ever want a K series CPU you should also upgrade the motherboard because with that motherboard, you will not be able to overclock CPU's at all. But for a starting build, this is VERY solid and a good list.

CPU: i7-8700K I CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D15 GPU: ROG Strix 1080 Ti MoBo: ROG Strix Z370-E RAM:  G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB)   PSU: CORSAIR HXi Series HX1000i Case: Corsair Air 540 Display: 24" 1920X1080p 144Hz ASUS - 27" 2560X1440p 144Hz Dell OS: Windows 10 Home 64bit

Thanks for the help! I'm fine with a non-K CPU. GPU overclocking shouldn't be affected, right?

Does performance degrade at all when two single sticks are used versus two sticks designed to be used with one another?

small edit - the psu is better if you don't mind the mail in rebate and the 240gb sandisk ssd might not be better than the 850 evo but it's very good for the price to storage ratio
