Depends on how keen your eyes are. In a blind taste test you may not be able to notice, but side by side you likely would. The 1070 is just a better option because it will stay relevant for slightly longer than the 1060. 1060 is still a good choice, but I am a strong believer that you should always get the best GPU that your budget allows.

Get a 1060 6GB. You can get a 1070 like others have suggested but I don't think you'll need it unless your TV can display higher frame-rates.

If you can afford the 1070, go for it. Your CPU should only become a bottleneck when you are approaching triple digit FPS. Look at my previous post for a nice miniITX 1070 under $400.

i know the gigabyte mini versions that's what i was planning to buy... when i decide which one :)   thank you.

The 1070 will allow him to render games at 4k using DSR for better quality. CPU bottleneck is a total non-issue when doing this.

1060 6gb is the sensible option though. But who on here goes for sensible?

When in doubt, re-format.

Then why did you say my post was informative about 30 minutes ago where i said that some people say it can, some people say it cant, it depends on game/settings?

I did it by accident and hey, it could be very good if you could show me how to undo this action. I didn't even know what post I selected. Search 6500 1070 and you will find plenty of answers, GOOD answers.

So true it hurts

if you want better graphics then increase case size so your gpu isnt so limited

It'll start rendering the frames at 1440 or 2160 but it will sample them down to 1080. It's a better way of anti-aliasing a scene.

Yeah i Know that but i dont think it makes much difference from that distance than in-game anti aliasing

It does with the higher GPU's. If you're going for a 1060 just use AA.

I recently finished a small form factor i5 6500 paired with a Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB build. Very happy with the performance.

Even the i5 6600k can bottleneck the 1070 so where did you pull that fact from?

It actually can't. I bought a pc for 1000$ with 1070 extreme gaming i5 6500 16gb of ddr4 ram @2933MHZ and usages are about 90s for cpu and 99-90 for gpu. no bottleneck at all.

@1080p I am getting 160+ fps on ultra.
