Graphics Card HELP

Hey I'm new to PC building and was interested in building Austin Evan's Neutron 3.0. Currently I bought the case,  Motherboard(h170m-ds3h), and 16g DDR4(2X8g) - F4-2133C15D-16GVR. I will be purchasing the RX 480 8g, the problem is there are many variants on this card and don't know if one's better than the other. I am building this pc hoping to play games such as Final fantasy 14, FPS games and mostly adventure/story(RPG) games at close to ultra settings. Also I will be buying a monitor soon and was wondering if the Acer XG270HU was a good choice for what I am trying to achieve? I'd appreciate your thoughts on the matter and any recommendation/tips are welcomed.

Monitor is fine but honestly, pick the cheapest, the difference won't matter much

RX 480 8GB..?? I'd go for a 1060 6GB or RX480 4GB. You probably won't need 8GB of VRAM at 1440p. I may be wrong, however. Look at some benches.

Disagree, I'd go 8GB over 4GB any day (there is a performance difference) and 8GB 480 over 1060. 

 

My personal pick would be the XFX GTR, or the Asus Strix
