Buying Games Need Advice!

Recently I've become bored with the traditional first person shooter genre of game. I'm really enjoying BF1 and will continue to play it frequently but I just need a change in scenery. Right now the new Need For Speed is $15 US on Origin which seems like a great deal. I loved these games on the PS3, but how is it on PC? For any people that have played it, did you get tired of it quickly? Also Doom is on sale on Steam for $20 also a great deal it seems like. I know that this is an FPS, but it is different from a COD or BF1 type game. However, from game play it seems like a very repetitive game. For people who have Doom did you get tired of it quickly? Thanks all!
