Right, my dad has got me a gpu for Christmas. It's the MSI GTX 1060 (6gb)

I currently have a MSI 970 ( I love MSI products lol)

Will I see much of a difference in games? (I play at 1080p and don't plan to go higher as of yet) and play games like FO3/4 Battlefield 1 minecraft etc etc

The difference isn't very huge, with the GTX 1060 being roughly as fast as a GTX 980 (which wasn't a whole ton faster than a good overclock GTX 970).

The GTX 1060 has a lot more VRAM and some more performance, I would use that one and sell the GTX 970/gift it to someone or whatever you want.

Looking at it the other way, was there something else you could have upgraded for more impact at similar cost? Doesn't matter if the 1060 is already in the bag.

Over time things might make use of the new features they put in. That reminds me... I haven't tried Ansel out yet, which was added to the 10 series cards.
