No video/audio playback

I have a USB headset, and the only audio that will play is Windows system sounds.

I can't play music, YouTube videos, Vimeo videos, mp4's.

I reinstalled my audio drivers and nothing changed. Halp plz?

None. I don't have speakers, since I live in an apartment with mean neighbors.

some USB headsets require their drivers to work, try checking the audio icon then click mixer. make sure the audio is set to come out from the headset. you can also click right on the audio icon on the bottom right then click playback devices, set the headset to default

If u didnt see any device. right click on empty area and click show disabled devices.

If u see ur headset or speaker icon with the name of ur headset then u need to enable it.

Or it could be driver conflict. try to uninstall any audio driver that is not relevant.

I've already made sure it's set to default device. I checked all my drivers, and it worked very briefly before going out again last night.

well that is strange... does your computer detect the headset?

It detects the headset just fine. I've also checked the headset on other devices, and it works on them with no problems.
