some USB headsets require their drivers to work, try checking the audio icon then click mixer. make sure the audio is set to come out from the headset. you can also click right on the audio icon on the bottom right then click playback devices, set the headset to default

If u didnt see any device. right click on empty area and click show disabled devices.

If u see ur headset or speaker icon with the name of ur headset then u need to enable it.

Or it could be driver conflict. try to uninstall any audio driver that is not relevant.

I've already made sure it's set to default device. I checked all my drivers, and it worked very briefly before going out again last night.
