Fiio E18K problem and question

hello everyone, i have just bought a fiio E18K to use for my iPhone 6s. but since there only are an micro usb output on the fiio i also bought a lightning to micro usb (adapter) but when i plug it in it wont send data to the fiio. i have tryed switching between the settings on the fiio any nothing works only the charge out. do anyone have a solution to this problem ?.

Is the E18k supposed to be compatible with the iphone?

 

Edit: Doesn't look like it. You'll only be able to use it as a portable amp, no DAC functionality on iphone.

Edit: Doesn't look like it. You'll only be able to use it as a portable amp, no DAC functionality on iphone.

you know there are always a way to workaround it, (hack it) this is what im looking for. :)

Because apple has built in DRM on their lightning connector, so it won't be able to use any connectivity without the certification that apple requires?

But i have seen with an other fiio AMP/DAC that you Can use Apple camera somthing adapter so WHO shouldnt it work with this AMP ?
