Yup. the MSI has a 8-pin as opposed to EVGA's 6-pin, meaning a potentially higher overclock( and more stability)

Also, the EVGA is a "mini" card, which I usually don't recommend going for as they usually have less space for cooling/less fans.

Get the MSI, it's cheaper + better(overall).

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

I wouldn't say all of that is true.  Sometimes the performance difference between versions doesn't justify the beefier version even with the better power delivery, depending on the architecture.  If I were really, REALLY looking for that right combo of looks, price, and performance, then reviews are the best way to go.  Generally, the cheapest one is your best value.

But yeah, the gaming x is a sexy card especially for red/black systems.

So true it hurts
