Wide-screen stand

So I made this wooden monitor stand,

It's 13 in. tall, 27 in. wide, and 10 in. deep.

Does anyone think this would work. if not any recommendations. I think stock ones look plain ugly.

Make sure that it will support a VESA mount and stain it so it looks better. I don't know much about wood and that kind of stuff but you might want to test it with a similarly shaped object because I feel like it would snap under the weight of the monitor.

Yeah I still need to stain. it also holds up to a good amount of weight.100+ suprisingly. what is Vesa also

The way the grain is on the board makes it harder than others to break

VESA is the mounting standard for monitors. Most monitors that support it are 100x100mm. THat means 100 mm between the holes.

Looks like I'm screwed mine is 86mm. but I can buy an adapter for it.

Yeah, also make sure that the monitor you will buy has VESA support

Keep in mind that the monitor will be leaning forwards and pulling the wood down. Not resting on top of it.

Yeah the stand is at a 9 degree angle if that helps, and the legs come out to you so it will also support it.
