M.2 speed question

TheMidnightNarwhal

So I'm looking at these SSDs and I notcie the M.2 has the same read write speeds as the SATA version. If Sata 3 speeds are up to 6GB/s is there any reason, except for not loosing a HDD slot, to use a M.2 where speeds are up to 10GB/s IIRC?

the lower capacity SSDs have lower speed and do well on Sata. The higher capacity SSDs are better off on PCIe/M.2. For the ones you are looking at the only benefit would be less cables.
