Hey there. So I have overclocked my i7 6700k to 4.5 and upped the voltage to 1.312v. It seems to been running fine and stable with games open like battlefield 1 and overwatch for 6 hours now. My question is, is it safe to have the voltage run at that amount at all times? If not, how can I make the voltage reduce itself when it's idle? My temperatures seem 100% fine so I don't think it would be a problem leaving the voltage as is. Also, what program should I use to stress test my cpu and for how long should I do it? Thanks

Voltage is within the safe zone as long as your temps are not getting too high. I personally have always used prime 95 for stress testing, as for how long would be up to you some people say 24 hours to be stable but I have never stress tested for more than 4 hours and never once have had an issue. Also depends what your using the pc for as to weather or not you would see a lot of oc issues if it was a bad overclock because gaming doesn't put the processor under quite the load that some other things do.
