I had a 650ti in a MSI 970 motherboard with an FX 4100. This afternoon, I turn on my computer but I get nothing on the screen. Turns out my 650ti took a dump. The fan ran at full speed but there was no image. I sent in an RMA ticket and I am hopefully going to get a new 650ti, which I'll then be able to resell as new, to help fund my upgrade. I plan to upgrade to a 7870. My problem is, my motherboard has no display out. So, I have no way of uninstalling my old 650ti drivers. My question is: if I slot in my 7870, 1) how much will it crash 2) will it stay up long enough to allow me to uninstall the old drivers and install new ones (I'm not expecting this step to be all in one session)? Any help is appreciated.

You might be able to go into safe mode and uninstall the gpu drivers.
