$500 Gaming PC?

Just now, deXxterlab97 said:

1. Power Supply

2. 1060 3 gb only cost a bit more and better

3. Cheaper Windows from reddit or knguin or g2a

4. No price on RAM sticks?

5. Does he need to waste money on case fans?

1-What's wrong with the power supply?

2-He's already cringing at the price.

3-Ok, I'll look there.

4-Added a different set.

5-Well he doesn't know shit about computers, so I want him to be on the safe side when it comes to thermals.

PSU is kind of low end, it doesn't need to be some crazy EVGA G2 750w but something a bit better. It should be fine as the worst thing with it is the fan and part of the PSU is sub par mediocre though it is fine. Should perform similar to my rig :D Though my CPU and GPU are OCd a bit.

Anything I need to change?

if u have no problem with ebay, i would reccomend thid  http://pcpartpicker.com/list/H9Qnd6  the cpu is older, but quad core is gud, and the cooler comes wit mobo, it sorta risky, but if ur savage, it'll work.

Don't spend that much money on fans that are meant for looks. You will get better thermal results with a better case (something like the Fractal Design Core series, cheap and simple). Fans half the price of those are perfectly fine.

Get a better PSU, that is a tier 3 low end model, nothing that I would really pair with a decent GPU like the RX 470.

Lots of wasted money there buddy.

Don't need 4 case fans. that's $50 wasted.

You can get a much cheaper Windows 10 on sites like G2A (make sure to use the protection plan for $1)
I would swap out the ram for 2x4gb. 1 stick will only run in single channel.
You can use the $50 from the fans and what you save on windows to add for a low end i5 and/or upgrade to an RX480/gtx1060.

That's almost $600.
There are corners being cut but you have to for $600.
Ideally if you can save a bit on windows and add in an RX480 or GTX1060, would be nice.

I don't care what people say, Corsair psus are not rubbish.
I've had my Tx750 for about 3-4 years now with very heavy use and it's still perfect.
My brother has a CX600 for about a year and it's fine. You're not powering tripple titanXs.

here you go,about $60 less expensive OS

https://www.kinguin.net/category/22175/windows-10-home-oem-key/

EDIT: now you can chose 1060 3GB without a problem and buy better PSU for less than $550 for sure . (Maybe)

Why is it so inexpensive?

Its because the os is an oem/retail edition. Theres a big debate over them so windows dont like people using them for custom builds but i dont think it matters too much.

If you get a new motherboard, you may have to get a new os  (cos it is oem version)

And windows can disable it anytime, i dont think they will tho.
