Hey guys,

I need your opinions on which one is better and why. I'm planning to get a gaming laptop and I'm stuck in choosing between these 2 models.

Asus G752VS or Asus GL502VS

this is my 1st gaming laptop so I don't have any experience with one before, I don't mind loud fan noises since I'll be using my headphone all the time. All i need is a machine that won't get overheat problems and I'm planning to use it for a long time.

If you want to suggest a different brand, in my country most available brand are alienware, msi, asus, acer, gigabyte, aorus, lenovo, etc

Thanks

I think the GL502VS is going to be great, I personally dont think 17 inch gaming laptops are really all that great, or practical. At least with the 15 inch one, you will actually be able to use it comfortable when it isnt sitting atop of a desk. At least thats what turned me onto my 14 inch Blade over the 17 inch one.

4690K // 212 EVO // Z97-PRO // Vengeance 16GB // GTX 770 GTX 970 // MX100 128GB // Toshiba 1TB // Air 540 // HX650

Logitech G502 RGB // Corsair K65 RGB (MX Red)

Based on the 2 laptops you have listed above, get the ASUS G752VS if you're not moving much and just use it at one spot. However, if you absolutely need portability and travel around with your laptop a lot, go with the ASUS G502VS, as it is only 2.3 kg while the first one is extremely heavy, at 4.35 kg! By the way, what is your budget? :)

So you went back from 17 inch to 14 ? Damn. I never used a big screen laptop so idk lol, the one i have is a 14 inch. I usually use my laptop on a table or on the floor for gaming. Thanks for your reply

I will use it everywhere, i travel a lot as well. But I don't really mind the extra weight though. I want to focus on getting the one with sufficient features and heavy gaming. Thanks for replying

You're really sure you can carry around that 4.35 kg laptop? Well, if you can, the biggest advantage the G752VS has over the G502VS is that it has a bigger screen (if you love big screens) as well as a bigger battery (90 mWh vs 62 mWh). The disadvantage though is that the G752VS consumes more power than the G502VS (this is something to take note of if you're using it at home a lot but if you travel, who cares?) Also, if you're buying the laptop online, could you provide both of their links? This is because they may have different variations of the product line. :)

I forgot to add, the G752VS has a DVD drive while the G502VS doesn't.

So in term of performance they're the same ? I have a website link but it's in my native language xD

these are the complete model name

Asus G752VS-BA230T

and

Asus GL502VS-VY057T

I'm planning to use them for gaming, video editting, etc. i dont want a pc since I won't be using them as much as a laptop does.
