Hey,

Currently owning an OCZ ZT 750W 80+ Bronze certified PSU. I'm going to give this away to my father, and was thinking of buying a Corsair RMX PSU. My setup consists of: i7 4930K (4,2GHz OC / 1250V) + overclocked GTX 1070. I'm not sure if I should go with the RM650x or RM750x. What do you think?

Main:  1650 v2   @ 4,6GHz   -   X79 Deluxe                -   GTX 1080 @ 2000MHz   -   24GB DDR3 @ 2400MHz / CL10

Side:   i7-4790K @ 4,5GHz   -   Maximus 7 Hero        -   GTX 1070 @ 2114MHz    -  16GB DDR3 @ 2666MHz / CL12

650W is more than double what you need.

By that definition, I could go for the lowest in the RMx series, the 550?

That's what I'm using. Works perfect. 500-550w will be more than enough. Good to have a little extra to upgrade in the future.

If the price difference is a couple bucks, go with the higher rated one. If the difference is like $25 or more, then you can just get the 550W.

Agreed Mr. Chief. Waiting for Black Friday :)

Easily.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.
