Hello everyone,

I want to start editing a few videos I have recorded through Shadowplay and editing with DaVinci Resolve. However, every time load up a file to edit, my computer just runs SUPER SLOW!

I want to what upgrades I should buy to edit videos effectively.

PC SPECS

What's the HDD and/or SSD you have? The simplest solution would be to get 16gb of ram. If your $500 budget + sold parts could take the hit then you should move to an i7 6700k with a z170 mobo. I understand that's very pricey, but there are fantastic black friday deals coming up. Newegg has an i7 6700k for $300 next Tuesday. Micro Center also has nice in store deals, if you live close to one.

8320 to 8350 is like 6400 to 6500. Not worth at all

I reckon the slowness is your computer. 8320 should not be that slow. Check CPU usage or maybe get an SSD instead

@Eclipse_ I have a WB 1TB and a 240GBamsung SSD

Thanks but I live in Australia, everyting's pricey alreaddy. although upgrading the ram seems to be my first upgrade wihtout spending too much.

Ahh, yea that's a problem. I love Australia though :P And the ram upgrade would do a lot for you. Install you're DaVinchi Resolve on the SSD if you can, or haven't already. This should make it perform a little faster.
