Gpu problem

Recently I bought a used r7 265 off of eBay, I put it in my windows 10 64bit pc and the drivers installed no problem. It played games with the performance level I expected but when I rebooted the pc the screen went black and didn't boot into Windows, at least I thought it did, when I tried to use splashtop it showed the login screen, I logged in and there was the home screen though the icons and background were missing and the bar at the bottom was a solid color and there was no windows button. So I clicked on the place where the Windows button used to be and it showed the menu.

I've removed the drivers with dduninstaller and tried putting it in the other pcie slot, I've even put other display connectors in it instead of hdmi with the same result.

I switched the ssd with an hdd with Windows vista 32bit on it and for some reason that works fine! 

What's the deal with this and how can I fix it? 

Any help will be bigly appreciated
