I came across someone selling a MSI GS43VR on Craigslist for 800$. It's not exactly the laptop I wanted, 14" seems a bit small and I wanted a GTX 1070, but I can't pass on the price. Is 14" good for gaming? Is it something I'll get used to? I can always sell it down the road for at least what I paid. So really what I'm asking is if it's a good buy or should I pass it up.

well its basically based on personal preference. 14" will be enough for me the 1060 isn't that bad, you dont necessarily need a 1070 in a laptop. besides bigger gaming laptops often weigh more, i would not bring a 4kg brick in my bag

$800? That's rather a steep decrease from original retail price of $1499, what's the condition of that laptop?

14" 1080p is alright for gaming, and the GTX 1060 is better suited for 1080p gaming anyway

It's in perfect condition, she had it up for 1000 and been up for over a week, I offered 800 and she said 9, I stuck to my guns and she accepted, even has a bag. Meeting in a pretty nice area at a Starbucks so I doubt it's fake. I'm gonna definitely go over it with a fine tooth comb but I think it's legit. Can you fake system stats or will system tray always tell the truth

It's a clean install, what's a quick game/ benchmark I can do in a Starbucks. Maybe cpuz and gpuz?

just bring like Aida64 + P95 + Unigine Heaven on a USB stick. Use CPU-Z, GPU-Z and HWMonitor to check for throttle or broken GPU or something. Don't use furmark. I'd still prefer to test via a game cause it's a foolproof way. Bring something demanding like Witcher 3 or Crysis 3.
