Hi guys!xD I need advice for my first PC build which I will be using mainly for gaming (OSU!, CSGO, BF1) and game development in Unreal engine 4 and Unity Engine, as well as some light 3D modelling. I plan to keep the total cost under SGD $3000 as much as possible.( Yes i live Singapore :) )

I have some parts from my brothers old build that he has kindly donated. A corsair CX750M, some AF140's, an MSI R9 280x Gaming 3GB, and a random Windows 10 key. I plan to reuse the PSU but for the graphics card I'm not so sure as to reuse it and wait till next year for AMD to release their new Vega GPU's or to get a 1060/1070 now. And I also need a monitor recommendation, one is enough for now.^_^

I have two builds I'm choosing between in mind but I'm still open to suggestions. (Side note I would really prefer air cooling my CPU)

Price sheets for each build: Build 1.http://www.cybermind.com.sg/pdf-upload/pricelists/cybermind.pdf

                                                Build 2.http://www.fuwell.com.sg/uploads/misc/Fuwell121116.pdf

Feel free to mix and match from either one. I didn't for convenience sake. :P

Build 1.

5820k + ASUS X99 STRIX MOBO COMBO -$1096

Corsair Vengance LPX 4x8GB -$299

Phanteks Enthoo Pro -$169

Cryorig R1 Ultimate -$139

Samsung 750 EVO 240GB -$119

WD Blue 3TB -$147

Zotac GTX 1060 amp! edition -$399

Corsair CX750M -$0

Total: SGD $2368

Build 2.

6700k + ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming Aura -$812

Corsair Vengance LPX 2x16GB -$289

Corsair 400C -$159

Cryorig H5 Universal -$85

Samsung 750 EVO 240GB -$119

WD Blue 3TB -$143

Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 Gaming -$729

Corsair CX750M -$0

Total: SGD $2336

Any suggestions and help are welcome!:)

Thanks!

First, I love the formatting. Looks great!

Second, no optical drive? How will you watch a DVD? :(

Yes, it's 2871 as in the year 2871. I traveled all this way, back in time, just to help you. And you thought your mama lied when she said you were special-_-

First off, why are you spending so much on the motherboards and you can just build one system for both of your needs.

Well I didn't make it clear my bad, but I am building one system. I'm asking which is a better option.

Well 1SGD = 0.7~USD so not that far off but it adds up.

Based on what I know, when it comes to 3D modeling, the more cores you have, the better. Even the i7 4 cores 8 threads of my Gf's PC isn't enough to handle what she does, the rendering times are awfully slow.

Will the 5820k's additonal 2 cores and 4 threads make a big impact on the render times?

That is a configuration I would definitely put into consideration. GPU prices in SG are very high though, a 1080 is easily 200-300 USD more expensive than the normal prices in other countries......
