So if you were switching browsers during the early 2010s you'd probably have heard of Rockmelt (http://www.rockmelt.com/). Essentially it was a browser built on the Google Chromium project with added features such as widgets and easy RSS feed monitors. I must say it was one of the best browsers I had ever used. Sadly though, they ceased browser support sometime in 2013 and was eventually acquired by Yahoo (and like most things bought by Yahoo, got completely erased bar the legacy).

You can view some screenshots of it here: http://rockmelt.en.uptodown.com/windows

Over the years since then I've pretty much moved on to Chrome like many, although I do miss the custom features Rockmelt used to provide. Does anyone know of a good alternative, or spiritual successor of sorts, to good ol' Rockmelt? I haven't delved much into Chrome extensions, but if there are anything which are at least comparable I'd be keen to try them out.

I know Vivaldi is a nice browser for power users. Maybe that's something for you?

I used to love rockmelt it was my favorite browser because of the features and how cool it looked. I only use opera now, Vivaldi seems like a good alternative.
