Will my motherboard work with this build? http://pcpartpicker.com/user/WhiteoutDota/saved/X7zNGX

and is there a reason to get a more expensive one, or is there a reason to NOT get a cheaper one? If so, is there recommendations you guys may have that would fit my PC?

Your build looks fine. Motherboard will work with the CPU you've chosen and it will fit in the case easily!

As for getting a more expensive one if you have to ask then you probably don't need a more expensive one ;P
Getting a more expensive one would provide better overclocking features, more ports, etc...

Again since you're asking you likely won't need any of this, the build will be fine as is :)

... I don't think you understand how this works... we can't just know... but if it was made in past 5 years or so, definitely yes.

I'm curious if a cheaper motherboard would do the same job just as well. I'm trying to save as much as I can, just to see how much I can save :D Do you have recommendations for other motherboards?

You can definitely go a teensy bit lower but only due to sales; The cheapest motherboards go new is around 50$ which is where you are currently standing more or less.

For example this board is normally 55$ but has a 20$ mail-in rebate which brings it down to 37$. Still a 55$ board though.
You'll also still have to pay the upfront cost of the product at 55$ and mail-in to the manufacturer (in this case Asus) to get your 20$ rebate.
