I hereby present you with the official documentation about this specific question:

http://docs.kali.org/installation/dual-boot-kali-with-windows

About Question 4: Most of the time, the drive you make to install it, is only a live install. It doesn't hold any data. So you probably will have to install to your HDD? Most likely a seperate partition, which you can make during the install yourself

That time I saved Linus' WiFi pass from appearing on YouTube:

i dont know where to start. follow the instructions on the kali web site to get the .iso file onto a bootable USB. use your bios to choose to boot the USB; on my BIOS i press F12 to get the boot menu, yours might be different. The USB boot disk will not interfere with your windows drive unless you fully derp out when using it.

I would recommend against installing kali, from your questions I presume that you don't have much linux experience. To use kali effectively you will need to be very comfortable within a linux environment. I understand that you are most probably interested in kali because you are interested in penetration testing. However just because you have the tool does not mean that you can use it. Just by installing it you might be able to follow a couple online guides and possibly do some basic stuff such as  getting into wifi networks. But if you are interested in doing anymore than that, it would be best if you started off using a different version of linux and become proficient in using it. I heavily recommend against running kali as your primary os unless you know what you are doing. Start off with something like debian or ubuntu, then move onto kali once you can make the kali boot usb completely through the terminal in either of those.
