chineseguy110

Hi helpfully people here :),

I just bought the 1 TB Toshibe ( model Internal Storage HDD HDWD110XZSTA) and it is super slow. I can't even open any games that I downed.

My PC also is very new.

I'm pretty sure is not virus.

Thank you nice people here!!!

Does it still have Warranty? If so, I recommend seeing if you can get a replacement as it sounds like your dealing with a faulty drive.

Actually, my dad said the same

we went and change a new drive and it is still very slow like the last one.

I'm afraid that I made a very basic mistake, like connenct the wrong port or somethings.

The drive is doing nothing right now, however it have active time 100%, Average response time 562ms read speed 4.1KB/s and write speed 8.2 KB

let me check the drive

Hi there :) Welcome to the community!

Could you provide a full system spec including your motherboard, what cables you are using and what OS you are running?

I would recommend running some diagnostic tests on the drive with a tool from the manufacturer as well as check the raw values of the S.M.A.R.T. status and see what they can tell you.

Does this drive hold your OS? How did you benchmark the speeds that you mentioned?

If this helped you, like and choose it as best answer - you might help someone else with the same issue. ^_^
