I have a quick question about the 1060 3gb v 6gb

How much performance are you giving up with the 3gb?

Depends. If you want to upgrade again soon (In the next year), not too much. But many games even now need more 3Gb for high-max settings, and it will get worse in the next few years. Definitely get the 6Gb if possible, otherwise look for a 4Gb 480.

Assuming vram isn't a problem, IIRC about 10% because of reduced cuda cores. But seriously, get the 6GB, if you ever run out of vram (which many games will already), then you're looking at insane stuttering (inconsistent frame drops) and 50-60% loss in performance.
