Good $50 Case?

WhiteFlame0
Go to solution Solved by 1Reshiram12,

Phanteks Eclipse P400. It's usually $60+ but there is a promo sale. Also comes in grey, white and black. Nicest case you'll find for that price.

Case: Phanteks ECLIPSE P400 ATX Mid Tower Case  ($49.99 @ Newegg)

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good ~$50 case? I'm planing to build a computer with a micro atx motherboard around black Friday, and I don't want to spend any more than $50 on a case unless it's really exceptional. I can never have enough USB ports and USB 3.0 is noticeably better. I also want my parts to stay cool, so a case with good airflow would be great and it would be even better if it came with a fan or two.

Right now I'm looking at the NZXT 210 Elite. Is this a good case? Are there any better options?

Thanks!

Do you want an M-ATX case or will anything that fits M-ATX do?

Anything that fits M-ATX is fine, though it seems M-ATX cases are generally cheaper than ATX.

I use the Deepcool Kendomen, its a really nice case especially for the price.

The Deepcool Dukase also looks pretty nice.

Thanks, it looks like the P400 is the winner here. On Amazon it says:

"Enthoo Eclipse ATX includes 1 x 120mm fans in front and 1 x 120mm fan in the rear. Ability to upgrade to additional fans is possible."

Does anyone know how many fans this case can hold total? How about a fan recommendation? This will be my first PC build, and I want to do things right. :)

after you've got two fans in the case, adding more will only give you 1-2c less on your temps, thats money better spent on the hardware.

3 120mm in the front

2 120mm on the top

1 120mm on the rear

Positive air pressure ( More fans pushing air in instead of out) is a good thing to aim for

Keeps dust out

This is kind of what I'm going for, maybe putting an extra fan in for intake.

I'm going to look at the P400 more closely tonight when I have more time, but can anyone tell me if it has dust filters? If not, should I buy some and what kind?

Yes, it does.

I recommend looking at newegg for info, amazon's product descriptions are terrible.

Thank you, that's actually what I'm looking at now :) I'm trying to decide on it before the sale ends today.
