So first off I will describe my issue with my computer, then provide specs, and then provide steps which I have already taken.

ISSUE:
Whenever I launch a game I can play for a period of time and then my computer freezes. The sound goes silent, mouse LEDs and keyboard lights stay the same and do not change. This typically happens within 10 minutes on games such as Rainbow Six Seige and Kerbal Space Program, but can take longer with games less intensive such as CSGO and flash based games (though it can be argued the the creation menu of KSP isn't particularly stressful). There seems to be three common factors I have been able to identify:
1. It almost always happens in a game, normal web browsing typically doesn't freeze. (two exceptions)
2. The faster I turn it back on, the faster it freezes, to the point of the first exception, freezing on lockscreen (when pressing the BIOS reset button as soon as it freezes).
3. It doesn't freeze in lock screens in games if the PC is left idle.

SPECS:
Mobo:
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0

(Mainboard) 33*C - 34*C
(CPU) 40*C - 47*C

GPU:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970

Temps:
(TMPIN0) 38*C - 43*C

Clocks:

Memory:
16 Gigs of DDR3 Memory
(4x 4Gigs)

Power Supply:

Steps already taken:
New monitor - not a monitor issue (I realize this wasn't a realistic issue)
Swapped Graphics Card out
Re-Organized and added fans
Cleaned PC internals
Checked Memory with the checker in BIOS (forgot what it's called)
Checked for Malware
Checked and double checked driver updates (Driver updates are NOT and issue =D)
Looked through reliability center.. literally no leads

can you CTRL ALT DEL out of the game or does your build completely crash could be an unstable OC doesn't seem likely with such a modest OC but it's possible.

This is power delivery related.  Get a better PSU.

Could potentially be memory related, but less than 5% chance.

Please spend as much time writing your question, as you want me to spend responding to it.  Take some time, and explain your issue, please!

It's not power delivery related.

No, I cannot. The entire computer is frozen with a complete loss of audio. I'd be interested in testing if it is an unstable OC however I am not sure how to test it to identify that as the issue. Any suggestions?

It really is though...  Downclock your GPU and CPU so they both use about 5% less power...  I'll bet my next paycheck it fixes it.

When overclocking you should always run a stress test for at least an hour to test stability but if your rig is crashing during light gaming it would suggest an unstable OC. I think there is a OC 101 thread somewher on the forum you should have a look through it and it will tell you everything you need to know but untill then remove your OC and see if that fixes the problem I'm betting it will :P

Edit didn't realise you had overclocked your gpu but you should reset that too principles for overclocking a cpu are much the same as overclocking a gpu so you should be good once you've read the overclocking thread.

It's not his power supplies fault if he has an unstable OC it's a bad OC if he knew how to safely OC then he wouldn't be having this problem. I just got finished telling him to remove his OC which will fix the problem I also pointed him in the dirrection of the OCing thread so that he can learn how to OC properly. I didn't realise he had OCed his GPU but yes he should remove the OC on that too.

just encase you didn't see my edit you should reset your GPUs OC as well didn't realise you had overclocked it.

Thanks for the responses,

I downloaded MSI Afterburner and am currently rather confused because it showed that I have not OC my GPU (which I previously hadn't believed I did anyway). Took down the OC to about 5% less and tried that. I ran a stress test on my CPU using ASUS diagnostics and it got about 4.6 minutes into the stress test and my computer froze, making me believe it is CPU related. The temperatures of my CPU never went above 45*C. So I took to the Bios and what confuses me, I'm hoping someone else could help, is that the target CPU speed is 4000MHz but the Current cpu speed is 4368MHz.
