Hi all

Having a weird problem with my win server 2012 machine.

The last week when I boot the machine and log in first time remotely it grinds to an almost halt and starts trying to open many explorer windows (Libraries folder). I managed to open the task manager once and it had 363+ explorer windows being opened. This only happens when I log in first time after boot with remote desktop.

If I log in on the actual machine on first boot it is fine and then can access remotely no problem.

Tried using different machine for remote desktop. Tried running windows updates. Virus scan.

Totally baffled and can't find anything Googling.

Any suggestions most welcome

Been using Server 2012 for some time and never seen anything like this. Wouldn't know where to start. :)

I assume this is with your administrator account? Create a new user, give it admin rights, and try logging in remotely and see. Then you know, something related to the user, or the system...
