Hey guys :)

I'm wondering - in your opinion whats better, the D3300, or the D7000 & any lense (recommend me one please!) thats under 150$.

I will be using it pretty all around, mostly of nature & action shots.

Thanks :)

EDIT:

Realized I should be asking a different question.

I'm planning on buying either the D3300, or the D7000 used.

The D3300 I can get for about $330, and the D7000 I can get for about $270 used.

With a budget of $450 (Help what accessories do I need?! - Sorry, I'm a photography noob), which will serve me better for all sorts of nature pictures, and some action shots?

Thanks!

D7000 has a much sturdier construction, has its own AF motor (so you can use any AF lens rather than just AF lenses with their own motors), better viewfinder, better autofocus, slightly higher max shooting speed, and better controls (imo). While the D3300 uses a newer sensor (so takes slightly better pictures). How much would a used D7100 be?

I was looking at the D7000 used on adorama.

The D7100 is like $540 on there, so too much.

Thanks :)

Unless you happen to own old autofocus Nikon lenses that need an external motor, get the D3300. The D7000 is better built and has better controls, but it's a bit too behind the curve sensor-wise, by now.

I would also buy the excellent 35/1.8 DX lens.

It's still nice having the option of being able to buy any AF lenses -- the older lenses are just as good as the newer ones and can often be had for FAR less money. And the sensor difference shouldn't be that big of deal anyway.

Accessories will always depend on the type of photography you do.

Landscape?  Filters, tripod, perhaps a remote shutter release

Sports/action?  Sometimes a tripod will be useful, other times you just have to use the camera hand held, telephoto lens that has a fast focus,

It all depends on what you want to do.
