Setup Upgrade

So, Christmas is coming up and I'm gonna get some money to upgrade my setup . At the moment I am happy with my PC it's self and would rather upgrade peripherals. Currently I have a BenQ 1080p 21.5" monitor, a random pair of Skullcandy headphones, A crappy LED membrane keyboard, A crappy mouse bundled with the keyboard and finally an old fabric IKEA chair that is harder than Satan's pitchfork. Which of these should I upgrade first, and any suggestions as to what to upgrade to? Thanks!

Get a mechanical keyboard and a new chair. What's your overall upgrade budget??

I would suggest starting with the item that is the most uncomfortable to use or causes the most inconveniences.

I would roll with a better chair so that way you can be more relaxed when you play

Get a Logitech G-series keyboard from Best Buy on Black Friday, they will be 50% off. Otherwise get a Corsair K70/K70 RGB. Then get a nice chair. Then a new monitor, maybe 1440p if your rig can handle it or a larger 1080p, like a 29" Ultrawide. Then a new mouse. Lastly a new headset

I'd start with a chair. Black Friday is going to give you excellent discounts on peripherals and headphones if you live in the US. Get whatever keyboard and mouse most strike your fancy (My personal recommendation is a tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Blue Switches, like the Cooler Master QuickFire Rapid). The Sennheiser HD 558 headphones also usually go for $100, and are unbeatable in that price range.

 

I would also highly recommend getting a desk which has your keyboard and mouse at the ergonomically appropriate height. Having them too high or too low can cause serious injury through prolonged sessions. Just ask Taran.
