32 or 64 bit

How can i know if my processor is 32 or 64 bit.
Repeat i am not talking of window, i am talking of processor.
Also if my processor is 64 bit can i install 64 bit window.
does 64 bit also depend upon motherboard......??????

Most desktop cpu's made in the last 10 years are 64 bit(including all amd apu's and fx, and all intel core 2 duo and quad, and the core i3,i5's, and i7s

 

If your cpu is 64bit, you mobo will work.

If it's a processor made within the last ten years, it can be safely assumed it's 64-bit. I think the only 32-bit processors still in mass production around that time for PCs was Intel's Atom.
