Hi guys, i have a really weird problem. When i turn off my PC he won't really shut down, all the fans are still spinning, and if i want to open him again i have to shut hit down by pressing long on the power button.

I reinstalled windows and it didn't work, I changed to a new PSU, didnt work (Also the fans of the new PSU keep spinning). I literraly don't know what to. I also tried today to upgrade the BIOS version, i updated it and the problem isnt solved yet.

Specs:

EVGA 500w 80 PLUS

Foxconn 2ADA - Mobo

8 gb of ram ddr3 1333Mhz

intel core i5-3450

EVGA GeForce GT 730 1gb

1 TB HDD

BIOS version: 8.20.

PC was originally bought from HP (HP Pavilion p6 Series p6-2200sj).

I would be so happy if you guys can figure this out cause i really dont want to spend more money on a new PC.

Thanks for reading.

have you looked in the bios at the fan settings some motherboards have a setting for the fans to keep spinning till all your parts are back at a room temp

So i should check the BIOS settings?

Have any idea how is it supposed to be called?

Not as much help here as most menus/settings are different.
Just look for menu options involving power/power on.

yep check the bios settings should probably be under fans or features i've never had a foxconn motherboard and all the brands name things differently so you'll have to look around a bit

Okay, reset your bios to factory default settings. You know it's not a software issue. You know it's not a PSU issue. It's 100% not going to be a fan issue as your motherboard controls when they do, and don't get power.

Your motherboard is not functioning properly. RMA it, or replace it.

How to reset it? and after i reset it all i need to do is to change the boot order to the windows yea?

Also the main reason that i dont want to replace it because my processor is LGA 1155 and i cant find a place selling the mobo.

at this point contact foxcon or the people you bought it from and try to return it or replace it since it does not seem to be apart of the intended features

wait, if i switch for a new graphics card, the mobo can hurt him?

what i was saying is its most likely a bad motherboard so you should contact foxconn the maker of the motherboard or the store you bought the motherboard from to see if you can get it replaced
