Hey guys.

I see myself doing some Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere and in the future, along with some occasional gaming.

What do you think would be a solid build for the 500 to 600 USD price point? (I'm hoping to take advantage of Black Friday deals and such. I don't need to factor in peripherals.)

Would an i5 6500, GTX 1050-60 type build make sense?

i5 6600k and GTX 1070 but I play 1600-900. 1440p BABY!

Still, don't put too much faith in my buying decisions. xD

Is a 1050 good well balanced forthe CPU in editing? I've heard that editing is more CPU based.

Or maybe I can get a build without a GPU now and upgrade later?

You can do that. HD 530 (igpu of 6500) should be enough for some low resolution low settings - medium settings gaming. If dropping the gpu then add a i7 6700 for extra threads (useful for editing) and extra RAM

Yeah, gaming is not my priority so much. Could that work?

I would get this, it's capable of doing light games like Hearthstone and Rocket league, and has the whole power of a HT Haswell Quad Core. Then later if you want to game you can slot in a $100-$200 GPU.
