These are the Specs I have shortlisted.
I am confused with whether to go for Nvidia or AMD ?
I also have another topic as to which laptop should I go for link -

It will be great help if you can list me as to why to go for AMD because my friend suggested me to go for AMD RX 480 instead of Nvidia GTX1060 or 1050ti and reason being that Nvidia is not having a support to DX 12 and AMD has also said that AMD will be great to use at least next 3 4 years.
So the Nvidia Cards I shortlisted are -

I prefer the green team. The RX 480 isn't a bad card but I'd say the 1060 and here's why.

Price to performance the 1060 wins.

System: i7 4790K, Hyper 212 EVO, 16 GB Crucial Ballistix, GTX 1070 Super clocked, MSI Z97S SLI Krait Edition, Corsair RM 750, Corsair 750D (with 2 additional 140mm NZXT fans up top for exhaust.)

So then if i go for 1060 then will it be great for a long run? as in for the next 4+ years will it run maximum games i throw at it ?

It should, I mean my 780 isn't 4 years old but it was running strong with games at 3440x1440 and it's a 3GB card. I didn't need to upgrade. I might suggest a 1070 to be super safe but that's just me

Nah mate. I don't have that much money to spend.

In that case a 1060 should be enough, as long as you don't plan on 4K
