How to stop RAM downclocking

So at idle my ram sits at 333mhz and I've noticed in some games it won't clock back up or it will but then back down and its rather annoying, how can I stop it doing that at idle? Like just run full speed all the time? (First gaming PC so excuse me if this is pointless)

Turn on XMP mode in your BIOS. I would tell you how, but I don't know what kind of motherboard you have. Regardless you can probably find how to online. Basically it just makes your RAM run at its rated speed.

You have to enable XMP or set the speed manually.

No I get all that, I set the DOCP profile to 2133Mhz on my ASUS A88XM-PLUS when I built it, my issue is that at idle its downclocking to 333mhz to save power but when gaming it sometimes doesn't go back up or stay that way so I wanted to disable the power savings function that controls it

How are you finding the frequency while gaming?

I tab into HW Monitor real fast and see what it says and sometimes the memory value is 333mhz and sometimes its 1066 (double that obviously) so I just want to stop the power saving function to prevent it
