BF! Fps issue

I have an i5 6600k and a gtx 1060 6GB. I'm barely getting 60fps on low settings in bf1. Any ideas?

Ok so I'm on the lowest settings at 1080p. It looks like my card is onlyreaching 700MHz for some reason

It doesn't have to work as hard to accomplish its workload. Pump the graphics up a bit.

Im pretty sure it should be over 700mhz to run bf1. lol. temps look ok at 65-70max

still should be well over 60FPS. It's not like the 6600K is a  major bottleneck here

If it's at 700Mhz, I would use DDU and reinstall drivers. What's your res scaling at? 50% at 1080 is 1080 while 100% is 2160 downscaling.

res scale is 50%. I will try the DDU

100% at 1080p is 1080p - 50% is 720p - 200% is 4K

100% at 2160p is 2160p - 50% is 1080p - 200% is 8K

BF1 Launch - onwards....Res Scale has been fixed, the 42% was a BETA issue, and since the beta ended, this has not returned.

 

TL:DR - DO NOT USE RES SCALE 50% ^Read above

It's likely the 700Mhz locked frequency is causing his low performance,... and a DDU clean sweep of Nvidia Drivers +> Driver Reinstall should fix that.

This is NOT  a driver, hardware or configuration issue of any kind. This is a bug within BF1.

You can try the  maxvariable fps fix and setting the bf1 process to high priority. It helped me a bit.
I hope DICE fixes this issue soon.

Ok. So it turns out that After reinstalling the drivers and using evga precisions K boost to ensure my card was running at the correct speed. I did see quite a performance increase. Playing on high at 60fps. Still I think BF! could use some optimizing. But it's fixed for the most part.

Should be able to play 60FPS Ultra on a 1060... it can go over 67 even on 1440p and your CPU shouldn't throttle it from the 90s to 60s or lower on high vs Ultra... there is definitely still a problem somewhere

I know theres a problem still but I dont know what it is. I just managed to get it playable

I never accused you of, or thought you were doing anything other than helping. Thank you. I will continue to try to figure it out. I'm just not sure where to start

This might get you better performance doesn't explain ehy you were getting such low clock speeds but seems you fixed that.

Ok so my issue is fixed now. It was actually a windows update that had failed to install properly

only took like a week for my computer to say that it was having a problem installing an update. but at least it finally told me. lol.
