Kinda odd, Xeon is an older processor but what do you guys think?

You can pick up the e5 2670 used for about $80USD, but $300 for the board isn't worth it.

These old sandybridge cpus were only worth it when they hit $50 for the e5 2670 back in like january.

For those prices you could get a modern i7 6700, or 6800, and a complete overall better system.

The 6700 will be better then the xeons even in multithreaded uses, the 1070 is better then a fury, that cx psu is shit, anf that little tiny cooler for 100+W chips will just make them thermal throttle, and Ssds are almost standard in computers today escpecially if you are spending over $600.

 •E5-2670 @2.7GHz • Intel DX79SI • EVGA 970 SSC• GSkill Sniper 8Gb ddr3 • Corsair Spec 02 • Corsair RM750 • HyperX 120Gb SSD • Hitachi 2Tb HDD •
