On speedtest, It shows 1.5mb down, but when downloading a game off steam or origin, i only get an average of 100 kilobytes /second. Does anyone know why this is happening?

It depends on your actual connection to the servers; Is this 1.5MBps (Megabytes) or 1.5Mbps? (Megabits)

 

EDIT: As 1.5Megabits = 192KBps

Can you post a speedtest result?and an Steam/ Origin download screenshot?

Allso try to download some other stuff from the web. I think:

Speed test results are a best case scenario of your internet speed. It finds the closest server that is a part of the testing network and tests your speeds based on connections to that server. Now if you're suddenly downloading from another country or even just another city, chances are that your internet speed will slow down because the connection isn't as fast.
