This is going to be my first PC build will be using it for gaming as well as work will be running CAD programs for work. This is the current system I am looking at but If you have any suggestions or even tell me I am going over the top a bit it would be useful.

Motherboard Asus Z170-A intel
CPU- Intel i7 6700K
SSD- Samsung 850 EVO 500GB
GPU- EVGA GTX1070 SC Gaming 8GB
CPU cooler- Cooler Master Nepton 240m Liquid Cooler
RAM- Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 3000MHz

Any suggestions on what monitor to get would be amazing as well my budget is around £1500 all together.

- That motherboard has an M.2 slot, so get the M.2 version of the SSD

- make sure the RAM is a 2x8Gig kit - not a single 16Gig nor 4x4

- you only need a 500-550wat PSU, but 650watts is not too much.

For a monitor, I'd suggest going for a 2560x1440 unit since you have a GTX-1070. If you intend to use a 1920x1080 monitor for gaming, you only need a GTX-1060.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

i5-6600, 16Gigs, ITX Corsair 250D, R9 390, 120Gig M.2 boot, 500Gig SATA SSD, no HDD
