I am trying to build a htpc for a client and got into a dilemma about the processor selection. Previous clients all want to do abit of gaming with their htpc so I have always included a discrete graphics card into those builds. However, I have this client who only wants to do 1080p playback(through xbmc or any media player) and web browsing so I thought I could save a few bucks and not include a graphics card plus get a lower end processor. An Intel G540 http://ark.intel.com/products/53416/Intel-Celeron-Processor-G540-%282M-Cache-2_50-GHz%29 caught my eye but I am worried if it would do the job or should I ugrade the processor to something higher? I have my own htpc running a G680 that is just fine but I am not sure if I can get away with a G540. Basicly I am trying to get the lowest tier processor that can get the job done. Any ideas?

The AMD E-350 I think it is' date=' with the integrated APU, maybe?[/quote']

That APU is good for pure 1080p playback, I've had issues with it playing 1080p from youtube. Probably a driver issue but I'm not risking it. Plus, it's not on sale anymore at my place.
