Will this be able to stream?

Hello everyone christmas is going to be a little tight and Im wondering if a i5 4690k overclock to 4.00 ghz and a gtx 1060 and 16 gb of ram will be enough to stream, I can get a gtx 1070, but it would great to not spend an extra 100-200 thanks in advance

Yes. You don't need the 1070. Use Shadowplay to link to Twitch or YouTube.

 

Edit: I would get a i7-4790K, though.

Streaming is pretty hard on your internet, I have a pretty old i7 (i7 950) and only 6gb of ram and I can stream just fine. Although, I have 10 mbs up, When it comes to streaming the upload speed is more important than the download speed.

I prefer OBS because you are able to fine tune a lot more and the file output seems to be better. 

 

I'm also running on a 4670k and even at stock clock rates I don't have too much of an issue. I only record at 30FPS (I know, heresy) and that doesn't seem to hit my performance too hard.

You guys are litcherally talking about processors that cost more than my laptop. And I cant even stream 5 FPS on it with a 25 MBPS up and 75 down :/

How cheap/old if your laptop? the 4670k is a half gen old I5.

The specs are as follows

AMD APU Quad Core 6310 1.8-2.4 GHZ Radeon R4

4GB 800 MHz DDR3 RAM

500 GB 7200 RPM HDD

And my parents got ripped off for it by best buy on my 11th birthday 2 years ago for $382. It is a HP 15 Notebook g010DX

Benchmarks for what I do 

Skype (it will only go 32 bit) crashes alot

Unturned 3.0 around 5 FPS in the latest version, around 22 a few weeks ago, 40 at main menu, around 35 in editor.

War Thunder Lowest Settings Around 30 FPS

H&G Almost unplayable
