USB 3.0 not working

My computer won't recognise anything I plug into the USB 3.0 I have a 990fxa ud3 and when I plug my mouse in the led comes on so there is power but nothing happens

Do your windows updates to get the drives all sorted.

You need the proper drivers, oddly enough only the usb 3.0 ports work while im in linux.
