Powerline with modem output?

I am planning on moving my router elsewhere in my house, but the modem has to remain in another room. Will it work if i send the output of the modem signal down powerline to the router?

is that a ADSL modem and a wireless router? then the answer is yes

A VDSL modem, going into a Ubuquiti edgerouter x

that should be fine. the output from the VDSL should be normal ethernet. nice router
