MP4/Video Viruses.

Hello,

So I have a question. How likely is it to get a virus when downloading mp4 files from fishy(?) sources. So, most porn on torrent sites is in the format of MP4, and I've heard that MP4 files can actually contain viruses. Is there any way to check MP4 files for viruses? I scanned some of them with Windows Defender, and no threats were detected. Is there any more "secure" way to check MP4/Video files for viruses? I feel very unsafe having files that might contain viruses on my PC or USB.

Well you'll know if there is a virus on it just seeing if there are any hidden processes in the task manager. Or possibly your PC is slower then usual.

If windows defender didn't see anything you should be fine. Or if you want to be extra safe use a VM.
