DVI or HDMI

Go to solution Solved by minibois,

No, quality is basically the same.

Even switching to displayport won't improve the looks. If you were on VGA though, there could be improvement because it's an analog signal which can have some interference, but HDMI, DVI and Displayport basically looks the same because they are all digital.

I only say this because while they ARE the same picture quality wise, one can have benefits over the other depending on what you are trying to do.

For example, if you connect it via HDMI, and your monitor/tv has speakers, you will get sound through it.

If its a high resolution monitor (higher than 1080p) and doesn't support HDMI 2, a dual link DVI, or a DP cable would be what you want to use.

When in doubt, re-format.
