NOTE: Sorry if I put this in the wrong area; It's like a maze!

Hello All,

I have been looking everywhere for a fix for this issue but nothing as of yet, so I was hoping to turn to you guys for a bit of help.

So below I will explain my current situation and specs etc.

Issue:
Yesterday I tried to boot my PC however on boot, it came up with this message which you can watch in the following video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHcHVtnDYaU

Error Message: "Reboot and Select proper Boot Device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key".

Now, I've tried I few things so far and below I will list what I've done:

1) Boot PC and got the BIOS up via the Del key.
2) Checked to see if my PC was booting in AHCI. (It was already in this mode)
3) Checked to see if my Boot Sequence detected my SSD. (My boot sequence was as followed: 1 - CD Drive, 2 - HDD, 3 - Boot Agent) (My M.2 SSD wasn't even in the boot sequence)
4) I then reset my BIOS to the last known good config.

None of the above work!

However, this is the most annoying thing above anything, I sent my PC off for EXACTLY the same issue as I have now back in March. I bought the PC from a company called DinoPC and I had the same issue with the SSD, it was sent off and fixed. You can see the emails below of the issue ticket.

As you can see from the image above, I reported the issue, they requested it to be sent off for repairs, I got an email saying indirectly that they fixed the fault. There were ticket links on some of the emails however, the tickets no longer exist to show that they stated that they had fixed it.

Now, under UK Consumer Law, I have 6 years to claim from date of delivery for faulty components for free. Baring in mind, the PC was bought in November 2014, and was fixed with a new SSD in March 2016.

What would you guys suggest I do?

Thanks,

Shaun.

There are two things you can actually do. If the ssd is your main drive in the system install a Windows 10 usb and boot into the flash drive and install the Windows version on the ssd.

if you have more than one drive in your system with Windows on it, take out the ssd or unplug it, boot into Windows, open disk management and format as a new drive and select the letter for the drive

Did Windows update that you know? Some users had issues with the Anniversery update, where somehow the boot got corrupted. Could be something to check out..

I'm happy to do this, I still have the OS Disk. However, why would the OS instillation see the SDD when BIOS doesn't even see it?

May have done, the last time I used it before it was broke was when I was leaving for college, so wasn't really paying to attention regarding updates. I do recall that I was holding back some important updates for a while, so Windows may have done it.
