i want to put an ethernet cable from my garage to my room via the outsite of my house.

i want to know which cable type i need so that it is weatherproof.

You can get direct burial cable but it wouldn't be a bad idea to use standard ethernet cable inside of a conduit.

Certain type?
Generally Cat5e is what you'll probably need, Cat6 is unnecessary unless you would need the speeds.

You would use a burial cable for outside, but a standard cable is fine if there would be no things effecting the cable.
