Windows Server 2012 installation help.

Greetings fellow IT professionals. I am just starting to delve into the server side and I'm in a bit of a bind. So to save some time, I figured I'd use the knowledge of the vast amount of nerds who prowl this site.

To the point.    ---- I am trying to install windows server 2012 on an HP ML350 g6. I am using 6 Samsung 850 Pro's for my storage solution.  I have made the ISO of windows server and it works on my PC, not the server. When I try to install via changing boot order it skips the flash drive and goes straight to CD-ROM and doesn't boot from the drive. To see if it was the drive I wiped it and installed FreeNAS which booted successfully. I then installed server and to no avail, no boot. But I can boot from the drive in both circumstances from my personal PC.

UEFI/BIOS is probably your problem.

Idk if that server supports uefi boot

Id suggest you install something like xen server or esxi or a kvm host on the server(unless your a sucker for hyper-v) and then run win server in a vm.

I was finally able to boot into server. I used MBR when I reformatted the drive and it seemed  to work.
